Who gets to stay in the house during separation?

According to the law, no one has to move out of the home during a separation. A couple may continue living under the same roof while they are separated. One party cannot force the other party to leave, no matter whose name is on the ownership documents of the house. As long as there are no safety concerns, no crimes are taking place, and no court orders have been breached, removal of an occupant cannot be forced by the police either.
