What happens if I filed for divorce and change my mind?

If you filed for divorce and changed your mind, you can file a Request for Dismissal to have your case dismissed. This can be done as long as the divorce or legal separation has not been finalized. If you and you’re your spouse filed for a joint summary dissolution and the judgment has not been finalized, either one of you can stop the proceeding by filing a Notice of Revocation of Petition for Summary Dissolution with the court.
