Why Children are the Focus of Our Law Practice

“It takes a whole village to raise a child.”

Why Children are the Focus of Our Law Practice-Igbo and Yoruba (Nigeria) proverb

This popular saying is an excellent introduction to our philosophy here at Kendall Gkikas & Mitchell. It encapsulates the whole thrust of our law practice and its focus on children.

Children are #1

The welfare of children is an essential element of our society. If we’re not properly taking care of children, we’re not progressing, and we’re certainly not thriving. Children everywhere deserve to be nurtured, encouraged, provided for, and loved, especially when their parents are getting divorced.

A professional and personal focus

That’s why at Kendall Gkikas & Mitchell, Kristina Kendall-Gkikas and Thomas Kendall have made children their top priority for over 20 years. The wellbeing of children is a fundamental priority in our professional as well as personal lives.

A Christian tie-in

Thomas is an evangelical Christian who strives to serve all of his clients well, but as a follower of Jesus, children hold a special place in his heart. In Matthew 19, Jesus showed his deep love for children when people brought lots of children to him and the disciples rebuked them.

He said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14, New International Version).

Jesus didn’t mind being swarmed by children—he welcomed them, he prayed for them, and he defended them from his disciples’ complaints.
